This is my 4th blog entry of the day. Well, it only goes to show that leisure is a prerequisite for wisdom to come into being :)

The resolution to be a better person always hits me when I’m drying myself after a shower. Being under the shower is when I reorganise my thoughts for the day; and drying up and dressing is when I get ready to face the world again.

Such resolution lasts till I fall asleep, regrettably.

mae just told me that EOY is scheduled for 10 December – because of venue availability and because the Malaysian Comic Fiesta is on 18 Dec.
WHAT ROT. Why does Malaysia’s Comic Fiesta come into consideration? SO WHAT! Of all the cosplayers who would potentially attend EOY, what percentage are considering going to Comic Fiesta?

Okay, it does not help that my holidays start on 18 December. Which means that 10 December is the weekend before the Surgery posting test. (@$*#&%$@#*$%#$@ Posting tests are not fun. They involve a on-the-spot one-to-one examination.

I just finished watching GSD 40 ^_^_^_^_^_^

Communication errors are always my fault. I got upset because the impression that I got from an MSN conversation a few days ago was contradictory to the actual circumstances that I found out today. After re-reading my MSN history, I realised that it was all my fault. That day, I was typing in one layer of words, with a second underlying layer of meaning. A few days later, it was only the underlying layer that remained in my memory, and not the actual words I typed. Thus I got angry at someone for something that was actually my fault. Damn. Next time I will directly, blatantly state what I want no matter how inconsiderate it may sound.

On a unrelated note (I just put unrelated things into the same post to save space) my brother has rather good taste in music: everytime I walk into his room I fall in love with the songs on his winamp playlist. The previous discovery was Toxic Audio; this time it’s Natasha Bedingfield’s I Bruise Easily. I don’t usually pay attention to lyrics when I hear a song, but her diction is clear and she sings as if she wants you to feel what she’s feeling, and she succeeds. It’s not just a song about a thrombocytopenic lady. Lyrics in the extended link. The song’s on the radioblog, but not on autoplay.

I’ve just gotten rather addicted to TextTwist, oh dear.

Saturday mornings have been falling into a predictable pattern: I arrive at 8am to clerk at NUH, then attend pharmacology lectures, then bum around before going home, then going for handbell practice. It’s rather silly to have just one 45-minute lecture on a weekend, but it gives us a chance to meet up. My OG went for lunch at Crystal Jade, and then to Settler’s. (I didn’t join them for the latter.)

CoRngregation at Settler’s Cafe yesterday was rather fun: me, Shmeen, Alanna, Seamonkey and Mosquitogal, all with vegetables in tow except Shmeen. We played Cranium and Taboo, then had to leave. I miss the CoRngress so much! We must have another meeting soon when Jee gets back; but not Settler’s, I hope, because when we’re playing we have no chance to catch up.

The MO in the ward I’m attached to now is Harry Potter fan. On Monday I saw the adult version of The Half-Blood Prince in the Resident’s Room; on Wednesday I saw the MO eating slices of bread from a Gardenia loaf while reading during his lunch break, at which point another MO walked in and started discussing the book with him. On Thursday I saw the 1st HP book peeping out from his bag.

To thy_mysterious_me: nope, I don’t have Toxic Audio’s CD; my brother passed me a few mp3s, I think you get them off the official website.

I’ve been reading my JC blog archives and *gasp* I sound like my J2 brother! I was wondering if I’d actually changed since secondary school; well, if blog entries are anything to go by, I have.

My figurines! Not all are in there, though.

I went to NUH to clerk in the morning and didn’t care that I was late for the one lecture at NUS since it was rather useless. After that the fun started with K-Lunch at KBOX Cinneleisure – $6.50 for 3 hours! Wahahaha. Still, 3 hours for 2 people just seemed to pass so quickly. The food for K-lunch was unpalatable, as usual.

sidetrack: I love the MTV for David Tao’s Susan Says.

As we left KBOX we noticed JJ Lin singing in the function room. Earlier Penance had remarked of a random KTV singer, “that guy sings really well, even better than T.K.” Well, we caught a bit of JJ Lin singing. To my surprise the function room wasn’t really that packed and everyone could sit on the floor; rather a change from the May Day and David Tao events I’ve been to.

The trip to Urban Culture proved disastrous. I wanted to much to get the Stella figurine (for you, anata) because it’s really adorable. I tried twice, getting… SHINN. BOTH TIMES. @(*$%&^4#($@$&*#($

Lunch at Subway, and then a bout of gallivanting at Far East Plaza. I’ve always had a weakness for boxes – pretty gift boxes, functionally pleasing plastic boxes, biscuit tins, mooncake boxes and more – but things got taken to a new level when I stepped into Gacha Gacha. They had so many different kinds of display boxes for figurines! I bought one first, will try to squeeze my FMA, Gseed and Haros into it.

New songs on the radioblog! The first is “Hana” (Flower) by Orange Range. It’s the ending theme of the movie “Be With You“, I stayed through the credits because I liked the song so much. The soundtrack is really pleasant too, qich lent me and it’s now good drive-time music, especially since it keeps raining nowadays and I can’t help being reminded of the movie.

The next song, “Voices Carry” is by the acapella group Toxic Audio. It’s long, but do listen to all of it; and jack up the volume as the beginning part is rather soft.

p.s. it’s amazing and almost scary how much progress has taken place the past 2 days…
