Had a rather nice chat session with the CoRngress sans Squid at Crystal Jade Kitchen today; this time we talked about boring topics like our futures.

I watched Colin’s Appendix, the band Cherie’s now playing drums for, at Wheelock as part of the Tapestry lineup. Well, they’re technically sound, but their music is so generic I had no idea whether I was listenign to covers or originals. That’s so unlike the Gallbladders, cherie herself admitted she’s swinging between two extremes. Anyway, she told me tha the Gallbladders are looking at recording their first album in the near future *excited* I want to go crash the recording studio!!!

After that dinner was at Sun and Moon Japanese Dining at Wheelock. The decor is beautiful and the food is wonderful! I spent more than I intended…$27 for dinner! ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’ve finally finished watching Kareshi Kanojou no Jijou! I think I like the sidestory between Tonami and Sakura best. (Yukino’s fun to watch but she’s not likeable…argh, doesn’t bode well for me ‘cos I see bits of myself in her, lol.) Now to get hold of the manga somehow.

Which Karekano Character Are You?

Karekano Character Test Created By Tiptoe39

Today was the Alice in Wonderland photoshoot at the Singapore Art Museum. Starring:

lynn as Alice
Cvy as White Rabbit
Lynn as Mad Hatter
ying as March Harch
yuankai as Doormouse
min as Ace of Spades
shuui as Ace of Hearts
me as Queen of Hearts

Everyone looked fabulous XD We attracted a lot of attention from the museum-goers; some took photos, some asked us whether we were performing. There were these two children who recognised Alice and the March Hare, then pointed to the Cards and asked “Tweedledum and Tweedledee?” The Mad Hatter resembled Willy Wonka a fair bit; and the Rabbit and Hare were just too adorable. lynn hated her wig, but we all think she looks good blonde.

We went for lemon tea after the shoot and saw another group of cosplayers O.O I guess every weekend in Singapore there’s bound to be at least one private shoot.

It’s my first free Friday in a long, long time. By consensus, my subCG left CGH at a disrespectable 12pm. I went home, ate, then proceeded to Junction 8 to get items for tomorrow. The lady at the lingerie section was really helpful; and I didn’t know that brassieres could come in so many ways, stick-on, strapless, fasten-at-site, mind-boggling. I stocked up on glitter glue – oh, the bane of my life! My sceptre rolled onto the floor and left half the glitter behind. I ended up reapplying and using a hairdryer for good measure. I shifted a bamboo stick up from the backyard and slung it across two of the taller bookshelves in my room so that I could hang the cape over. I wonder what Mother will say about that.

Well, the free time was good; I managed to do something about my sceptre. I’d been putting it off throughout the week because I couldn’t think of what to do with it. See, last-minute work is last-minute only because I’m waiting for ideas to pop up.

I just feel a bit empty, though there’s an underlying current of excitement about tomorrow. No handbell practice this weekend. And the people I want to talk to online aren’t around, so I keep surfing aimlessly around. I’ve stumbled onto a few ringers’ blogs, and a HO’s blog. Shan’t link the latter on this site since it appears too frequently in search engine results for my liking and I don’t want to get the guy in trouble. Well, no point waiting. See you guys tomorrow.

A phrase I’ve been hearing quite a few times recently. My mentor says “Up to you” about us following ward rounds, OT, endoscopies, talks and other activities. I muse about what I’d like to do in the coming days, and the response is also “up to you”. I wonder if “up to you” means “I couldn’t care less”, or “I trust you know what you’re doing”, or “If you don’t want anything from me so be it, I won’t offer”.

p.s. talking to my destined life partner is always so fun :)

I was just browsing through the anime wallpapers at minitokyo and was reminded of the anime I watched and loved in the past. Like Chrno Crusade: it didn’t have a remarkably original premise, but I was really upset when the two characters died in the end. (They died right?)

My anime life is woefully non-existent these days. I’m only following GSD now, though it’s proving to be utter waste of time. Episde 44 had a really cliched premise, a huge disappointment after the fantastic buildup in 43.

My CG has got to be the slackest one around, after the morning briefings we made a quick exit to Tampines Mall for lunch and a 6-hour KTV session. (To my OG: KTV is still the most fun with you guys.)

i saw my face in the mirror today. it’s so round.

An initially futile day out today. I was at the travel fair at Suntec trying to see if I could chance upon any good deals for a short autumn holiday during the one-week break in October. Well, the queues were immense and the package tours were all too long, so I gave up rather quickly. I tried to sign up for a Standard Chartered bank account, but the rep was rather doubtful since there’re still a few months to my 21st birthday. @%&($%&$#* I filled up a form, anyway; and had a go at the lucky dip. I pulled out a ball with a white sticker, and the rep said, “I think you’ve just won an ipod! Let me go check!” I was ecstatic for a few minutes till he returned and said, “Sorry, I got that wrong. You just get a keychain.”

After that I headed to Carrefour and Jack’s Marketplace in search of a tea leaf immerser. No luck there either.

Had lunch with Penance at Carl’s Jr at Marina Square. Do NOT order the low-carb Chicken Club, it is just a lot of mayonnaise that comes with chicken and lettuce as an afterthought.

We went to Far East, Tangs and Isetan after that because I needed to get something. I couldn’t find anything suitable as one can never find what one wants at the precise moment one needs it; if one does not need something, one will certainly see it in every shop one passes. We left for the MRT as quickly as I could since both of us had been sniffling since morning. Very coincidentally, I bumped into lynn! So Penance went back, and lynn and I happily continued on our quest for objects-that-are-never-around-when-you-need-them. The Heeren. Finally managed to get what I needed.

At night I went over to lynn’s house to try on some things. I’m really very excited XD
