My, my. And a Potter meme, also taken off avaris. (you really aren’t studying this break, are you?)

Note: spoilers for the Deathly Hallows may be present.

Warning: do not read this post if you don’t want spoilers for the end of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

I have joined the Dark Side.

Signed up for a Singtel postpaid line today so that I could get the K810i at the weekend special price of $268 without trade-in. Sigh. The phone is sweet and slick, but messaging is quite tough as the buttons are pinpoint ones, unlike the k750i’s and K800i’s rectangular ones. Also, the space button being all the way at the bottom right means that the phone’s on the verge of toppling out of my hand whenever my right thumb reaches for the space; gripping the phone in that awkward posture puts considerable strain on the first metacarpophalangeal joint. I wonder if I should’ve gotten the K800i instead, which was also going for the same price. The phone’s charging, so haven’t really tried to take photos with it yet. I really need to get more memory for it. And give it a name. It looks black to me, but it’s supposed to be navy blue, according to the lady at the shop.

At 12.50pm, I turned on my computer. And this conversation ensued:

(IW: Identity withheld. me: me, of course.)

IW: i watched nodame until 6 am yesterday -_- so i just woke.

me: 6am…FWAH. so which ep now?

IW: 9 now. (before this spate of Nodame watching, IW was only at ep 2)

me: I am AMAZED.

IW: i only stopped watched cos crunchyroll ran out of bandwidth. wtf.

me: HAHAHAHAHA. must be because of YOU.

IW: anyway i’ll go wash up. crunchyroll is damn cok.

It’s study break now, and I really should be revising Paeds, doing various writeups, and getting on with the Medicine notes.

I’m really bored, and craving for some human interaction; yet at the same time I don’t really want to waste time going out.

Paradoxically, life-outside-mugging has never been better. Gurren Lagann and Claymore occupy my thoughts constantly; and there’s Hanakimi (Japanese version) to look forward to as well. But that also means that I’m too up-to-date with the releases and thus have nothing to watch at the moment. Am now rather addicted to screencapping and making icons, though my icons still aren’t of great standard yet. And Mayday has just released an EP with some new songs and great live versions of old songs.

On the bright side, the weather is good, so I’ve started running again. I’m horribly out of shape, and SIP will probably worsen that as most current SIP students seems to have cut down on exercising. That’s not an option! MUST. EXERCISE. If I were crazy enough, I’d try to get a Claymore’s physique…but that’s CRAZY. Not like I can create such a big sword anyway. My favourite Claymore are Clare, Galatea and Miria, who all look the same except for differing hairstyles.

To run errands tomorrow.

Hurray! J.K. Rowling says that she’ll be writing an encyclopedia, so that we know what happened to all the characters after the book. She already has all the raw material, so it’s just a matter of formatting it and sending it to the publisher. This is great; in the books so far, the only significant hint of life after Voldemort has been in that one scene where Professor McGonagall discusses Harry’s subject choices and his career plan with him.

I want a Gorillapod.

We finally had full attendance at CoRngregation yesterday. The initial plan was to have dinner at Waraku at Central, but the queue was impossibly long despite it being a Tuesday evening. One level lower, there was also a queue at Pasta de Waraku. Do people only eat at Waraku and Marutama Ramen when they go to Central?

Anyway, we ended up at Kyomomoyama because the waitress shoved the menus in our faces as we walked past. We were initially quite apprehensive about trying it because it seemed rather empty: just one Japanese family and a few other tables occupied. We later realised that the emptiness was because of the price, and not the quality; though the pricing’s quite reasonable for a restaurant like that.

The CoRngress
All eight of us! XD Some bright spark suggested that we take a photo BEFORE digging in so that our filled plates would look better in the photos.

Well, I’ve no idea why I took so long getting down to watching it, but I finally did so today afternoon. Some thoughts below:

I’ve just finished watching The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. Loved it, but the ending was so bittersweet >< I used to like bittersweet endings, but these days, I don’t really want to watch anything that doesn’t have a happy ending. WQ laughed at me, grr; I guess to guys, the romantic bit of any movie is just an insignificant side story.

Gurren Lagann songs up on the radioblog! Nothing like those songs for cheering you up on a dreary, boring day. While waiting for the next Claymore episode to be out, why not snack on Gurren Lagann?

Quiz ahead.
