I need more speed. I need more memory. Both for myself and my laptop >< (alright, for the latter, it’s ‘want’ and not ‘need’.) Father bought RAM off Ebay (London seller…) because it was cheaper than at Sim Lim, even with shipping included. Well, that lousy 512MB of RAM doesn’t work. My laptop gave off a series of beeps: 1-3-3-1 without anything showing up on the screen, which indicates either a RAM problem (top differential) or a motherboard problem (less likely). Since my motherboard has been working fine with 2 256 RAM, it can’t be a problem with the motherboard.

I think Father likes computers because it’s somewhat like medicine. Just that they don’t lie to you. Or complain about you. Sure, I’ve had sleepless nights attending to my computer(s) before, but it was always out of love.

I need you more than you need me, you see.

On an unrelated note, I’m perpetually tired and mentally sluggish. Perhaps I should go get a thyroid screen. *hoping for excuse to take thyroxine*

Chanced upon makeup vids by guys on youtube:

Eye makeup of Kisaki from Phantasmogoria. 5mm of black eyeliner! Wohoo

And a related link was Make Up Lessons With Gerard Way. Check out his Japanese suitcase and his pajamas.
edit: won’t the white makeup come off when you rip the tape off?

-back to antibiotics-

It’s painful writing that ethics writeup. Very painful indeed. Could’ve taken the easy way out and rehashed whatever we did for GP on a TOP case, but well. I wasn’t thinking that far ahead when I was doing my O&G posting.

So in between I’ve been reading manga online. I’m pleased to have caught up to volume 15 of Lovely Complex; glad that they did some stories on the supporting cast to flesh them out. My favourite of those was Nobuko’s leaving for Hokkaido. The anime seems like it’s ending at the university entrance exams, which is really appropriate for an ending, so I’m happy. (Not like Claymore #&*^#%$#&*^@#$%)

Met an acquaintance who hasn’t seen me for one year, and the first thing that was said was, “You look different! You put on weight right?”

Hence begins more calorie restriction and exercise. After the URTI. Target BMI: 19.2

As the first batch of m5s going through the ID posting, I’ll give you a brief introduction on it.

OMG. Proper trailer (with subs!) here, and trailer with Gundam models and pilots here. Gundam Kyrios, with its gorgeous orange-and-silver and incredibly handsome pilot has taken my breath away. It’s love at first sight!

THERE IS LIFE AFTER GURREN LAGANN!
lynn: THERE IS LIFE AFTER HANAKIMI! (said pilot looks like Oguri Shun.)

And the OP is by L’arc en ciel as one of the members loves Gundam. (rie, who is it?)

I met up with my JC classmates and went back for MAF yesterday. Missed the lightup as we were having dinner at Prince. 13 out of 26 of us were there – that’s 50%! It’s been 5 years since we graduated, and we really felt our age. The best part about MAF is having an excuse to meet up with old friends; and maybe singing the songs and watching/doing the mass dances. Well, we really felt old during the songs – it’s hard to believe that we actually shouted and jumped as madly as those youngsters around us. And we found our arms and legs disobeying us for a large part of the dances. They’ve added one English song to the songlist, which has rather meaningful, if blatant lyrics, albeit with a few grammar mistakes.

Dear laptop,

This is our fourth year together. I suppose it was my fault, how I kept stopping all the systemic viral checks whenever they popped up; I was too complacent, thinking that letting AVG run in the background would pick up viruses as they entered the system. And then you crashed, when I was trying to watch some Hanakimi video on Guba. (I shall forever hate Guba) You wouldn’t boot up after that; you couldn’t even make it to the point where I could run BIOS and opt to boot from the recovery CD. Ragged shreds of red appeared on the screen.

I watched Hairspray. It’s a lot of fun, right from the very first moment of the film when Tracy Turnball started singing about how glad she is to be waking up in Baltimore. (She’s abnormal! Which teenager jumps out of bed happily singing? And I think that Turnball is an unfortunate surname if you’re a guy.)

I have now caught up with Seirei no Moribito XD And I’ve finally watched the Bakeneko arc of Ayakashi.

Does anyone have a copy of Louise Lawrence’s Warriors of Taan? Something reminded me of a scene in the book today, and I wanted to re-read it, but I’ve lost my copy somehow. Kinokuniya and Acmabooks don’t stock it; I guess it’s been too long.
