I woke up at 5am and went online. Met The CG Mate there.

TCM: Wah so early?
Me: Then you leh?
TCM: I haven’t slept yet hurhur.
Me: WTF are you doing??
TCM: I finished watching Proposal Daisakusen XD
Me: G-good for you.
TCM: Anyway you’re going to wait for the viva list tomorrow right?
Me: It’s TODAY.
TCM: Should I go play a game now or rewatch Muse? XD XD XD

So some of the class gathered at 10am for a feedback session, which was really just a pencil-shaded survey form. We were in the CRC Auditorium, while the medical bigshots were in the adjacent conference rooms deciding our fates.

And then, the waiting started.

So I went over to lynn’s tonight on the pretext of having my measurements updated. It did me a lot of good to talk about stupid things (Hey! Hey! Hey!). And I was horrified to find that my waist has expanded, while my chest and butt have remained the same circumference. IT’S ALL THAT BLOODY CORTISOL’S FAULT!!! You know, central obesity and the like.

Target: lose 2 kg in Europe. Carry heavier backpack. Allow gain of at most 0.5 kg after returning.

I watched the raw because I couldn’t wait for the subs! So here’s a brief summary and my thoughts:

I would have failed myself, seriously.

How does one prepare for vivas?

Medicine long cases were just over. I was lucky to get easy cases; not that I exhibited a perfect dive, but I should pass. I hope I still have some luck left for tomorrow.

To the rest: GOOD LUCK FOR TODAY! *throws a thousand four-leaved clovers over*
*and keeps two thousand for myself for tomorrow*

(Is feeling rather high now because they made us stand admist fumes in a freshly-painted corridor while waiting for our turn.)

Medicine shorts left. My examination skills…are like shit lah T_T

To the juniors in the library who’ve been talking at normal volumes despite it being a library: I’ll remember your faces when you’re in your clinical years or end up working with me.

Two more days.

I’m feeling 10 times more unprepared for this than Surgery.

Please, just let me pass.

So I was greedy yesterday. We were in the Science Canteen, which was closed on a Sunday like any other self-respecting school canteens. Coincidentally, there was some symposium going on at the foyer with too much catered food, so the organisers bade us eat our fill. They even gave us styrofoam boxes for takeaway.

I’ve had diarrhea 5 times today; and one other guy that I met again this morning also had some GI upset.

Anyway, the first batch of students has gone and come back all alive. No borderline vivas today, good for them. Right now, I’m really panicky for my turn tomorrow; which means that I’ll be a wreck when I’m actually in front of real examiners? Argh.

I am lusting after this.

Study study study.
Save money save money save money.

*starts singing Time is Running Out*

One more day to the first clinical examination! I can’t believe how the total examination time is just 66 minutes (such an auspicious number), yet it determines if I pass or fail the entire Surgery track.

Pass pass pass pass pass pass.

I’ve just finished watching the MUSE HAARP DVD. It’s indescribable. I’m speechless. I WISH I’d been there at Wembley T_T

Anyway, the concert footage has been processed in a very artistic manner with interesting angles and editing; lovely shots of the crowds; and helicopter views. There was this shot of a really pretty girl with the letters M-U-S-E written on her face; thought the squiggles were some goth makeup, but it’s actually MUSE. Respect.

The sound quality is amazing. All the songs were fantastic. Please take a listen below:
