Ten days ago, after I’d just returned from leave, a fellow HO in a different department took one look at me and said, “You look different. More…refreshed. Just back from leave?”
Today the MO-on-call caught a glimpse of me at 2pm. “OMG you look like a mess. Please go home after you finish discharging this AOR!”
Have had no time or energy to plan my upcoming projects. ARGH! Next month, one HO in my team is going on long leave, so it’s good payback for what I inflicted on my teammates this month. But it also means no weekends off again! NOOOOO. *starts growing ginseng roots for energy*
Anyway, pay has come in. Am whittling a fair amount into a Mysavings account, which is Mother’s idea of me paying back whatever I owe for education fees/car loan/petrol/electricity/food/anxiety – so that the bank pays her interest and I don’t have to.

How did it end up like this?

Materiality. Material Force. Material temptation; sometimes obsession
The Devil is often a great card for business success; hard work and ambition.
Perhaps the most misunderstood of all the major arcana, the Devil is not really “Satan” at all, but Pan the half-goat nature god and/or Dionysius. These are gods of pleasure and abandon, of wild behavior and unbridled desires. This is a card about ambitions; it is also synonymous with temptation and addiction. On the flip side, however, the card can be a warning to someone who is too restrained, someone who never allows themselves to get passionate or messy or wild – or ambitious. This, too, is a form of enslavement. As a person, the Devil can stand for a man of money or erotic power, aggressive, controlling, or just persuasive. This is not to say a bad man, but certainly a powerful man who is hard to resist. The important thing is to remember that any chain is freely worn. In most cases, you are enslaved only because you allow it.
What Tarot Card are You?
Take the Test to Find Out.
Anyway, we were waiting at the office for everyone to arrive for the exit round. The consultant zoomed in on the Sports section of the Straits Times, saw an article about some athletes in the 1984 Olympics.
Consultant: AH! That was an epic moment! Don’t you remember the 1984 Olympics?
MO 2: Err..at that age I wasn’t really that interested in sports yet.
Me: I…was born in 1984.
Consultant: *does double take* WHAT.
MO 1 (registrar-soon-to-be): Hey don’t ask me. I was only five years old.
MO 3 (Baby MO): Don’t look at me. I was only one year plus.
Consultant: AAAAAAAAAAAARGH!
Registrar: *concentrates very hard on choosing which chocolate to eat from the pretty box on the table*

So the team dinner on Saturday saw half the team switching their Saturday calls to Friday; with the result that almost everyone was post-call on Saturday. Managed to snatch an hour of sleep between finishing work and going to the consultant’s place. There we watched Battle Royale, which is a seriously screwed-up show (“too traumatic for a post-call day,” murmured the registrar); and I realised that Raito of the kiam pah face was the lead! *is WOLS* Also watched Zoolander, which is so WTF I would never have paid to watch it in a cinema. Anyway, by the time I got home, I’d been awake 42 hours (not counting the 1 hour of sleep that I got).
Have gotten my MUCC CD and D’espairsRay Spiral Staircase #15 DVD from lynn XD XD XD; but brain and ears in no state to take it in right now. Little things like this keep me alive. I guess that’s part of the reason why I like online shopping besides the convenience: there’s the anticipation of having something come in the mail, or the pleasure of surprise when something I’d forgotten I’d ordered arrives.

Jogged 6km after getting home. My speed exponentially decreased during the second half and my legs now feel like dropping off. I love this feeling. Face looks horribly chubby in photos, so. No pain, no gain!
Anymore, more epic MUCC!
I’ve forgotten a lot of habits and drills these past days >.< Grr. My bosses already think that I’m an utter idiot. Active call this Friday! I have forgotten how to go into bankai clerking mode, help! Followed by team BBQ on Saturday. *is going to be one very dead person this weekend*

MUCC’s live rendition of Akatsuki no Yami gives me shivers because of the sheer emotion put into the song. The Budokan 666 Live DVD is still available on Yesasia, but … is yesasia.

It is 1am, and I’m not sleepy. Since the Cosfest weekend I’ve been sleeping at 1.30am every day. Doesn’t bode well for Wednesday >.< I really dread going back to work, having to wake before 6am and before 5am sometimes; coming back all drained; and feeling really shitty after calls. And the horrible feeling of screwing up. Every day that I screw up something, I tell myself, “I won’t make any mistakes tomorrow.” But tomorrow comes, and I screw up a different way.
Am now in a state of underlying anxiety for certain matters (yes, worrisome matters that might have potential wonderful outcomes), which will be compounded by work anxiety again when this break ends. I really need to partition one part of my brain for worries that can go into standby mode so that I can relax.

It was a day of much walking.
1. Met ying at Lavendar MRT. Ate Belgian waffles.
2. Went shopping at that area.
3. Walked to Dhoby Gaut and stoned at The Cathay.
4. Went shopping at Daiso.
5. Walked to Far East Plaza for dinner.
6. I walked to RGS for the handbell concert.
7. And no, I didn’t walk home.
Realised that I won’t have any more weekend days off in July; not to mention four calls in 2 weeks. Eep.
Problems:
1. Surviving work.
2. Getting the cosplay stuff done. (The Exp and The Dudette.)
3. Figuring out funding for an ensemble; after that, logistical issues. (Is so not my forte.)
4. Getting in regular exercise and seriously toning up.
I am seriously dreading starting work again on Wednesday.
