Mayday – 如烟
It’s one of my favourite songs from the album because of the bittersweet wistfulness, the need to hang on to now in the fervent hope that things will not change, all the while knowing that things will change, and that one cannot return to rewrite them. I don’t know how Mayday does it, but each album voices out my thoughts on my life right at the point of the album’s release.

五月天真的唱出了我们的心声.

I finished watching episodes 5-10 over the past two days.

I am thankful that I was post-call on CNY eye, and had CNY days 1 and 2 completely off. On CNY eve I met up with rie (post-call! needed coffee muchly) to exchange goodies. Dang, woman, come back soon! On CNY day 1 it was the usual buffet lunch with the extended family and dinner at my aunt’s place. On CNY day 2 I met up with the asterisk bunch at Lenneth’s to lou hei. Her mother fed us very well! I am now rather tempted to get a DS, just that I wouldn’t really have time to play it. DS or PSP? Or neither?

I was tagged on Facebook, but phaw, Facebook. I don’t pay for a domain and webspace so that I can do memes on Facebook (and let my bosses see what I’m writing). Here goes:

Rules: Once you’ve been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. (plhu: rather ridiculous, the person who does the tagging has OBVIOUSLY already done the meme.)

I’ve tried to make it as random as possible.

We’re now watching my nieces and nephew (aged 9, 7 and 3 years) grow up, which makes Mother reminisce about the past.

I was five years old and playing blocks with my brother.

Me: pass me the red block.
Brother: *passes random block because an 18-month-old doesn’t really know colours*
Me: STUPID! This is blue.

Mother: Hmm, interesting. *stands back to watch*

Brother: *passes another random block*
Me: STUPID! This is yellow.

*repeat till poor boy has finally gotten to the red block* Mother said that Brother learnt his colours rapidly because of me.

Three years later, my brother was playing blocks with my baby sister.
Brother: Pass me the circle.
Sister: *passes random shape*
Brother: STUPID! This is oval.
Sister: *passes random shape*
Broterh: STUPID! This is square.

Mother (after LOLing in the background) concluded that children learn faster if they have older siblings.
Happy CNY, folks.

Pushed all thoughts of MOPEX out of my head, and went on to have a fun but expensive day out with lynn and karynn. Photos ahead!
